DescriptionThe dial is mounted directly over a magnetic compass and is protected with a threaded lid (missing). The gnomon for the dial is hinged to rotate into the plane of the dial for storage. The chapter ring is marked IIII-XII-I-VIII with 15 minute subdivisions. The gnomon is designed for a latitude of approximately 51°. The compass rose is printed on a floating compass card. It has 32 points with markings for a "T" at North and hand drawn symbols at every fourth point. There is no marked offset for magnetic declination.,circular
