DescriptionA plastic cylinder is capped at each end by a cover. The cylinder is reinforced by two metal bands secured tightly by screws. The top of the cylinder is of an inverse-cone shape, with the cone extending into the cylinder. There is an opening at the bottom of the cone, and a metal nozzle is inset in the opening. The top has a twine cord attached to the nozzle. There is a round opening in the flat bottom of the cylinder. Along one side is a metal bracket, and a screw-type knob secured to the outside of the cylinder passes through into the interior. There is a valve-type opening on the side of the cylinder near the bottom.
Signedplastic label tape with raised lettering is affixed to the side of the cylinder near the top and reads: HARVARD U SEDIMENTATION LAB
