DescriptionThe caliper-shaped base is on wheels and supports a tall central pillar. Fixed on one side of the pillar is the control unit with meters and dials to adjust the x-ray tube. There is a milliammeter, voltmeter, a line compensator, a k.v. selector, a filament regulator and a voltmeter switch. The x-ray tube is on the other side. It can be raised and lowered with the crank found on the central part of the machine. On both sides of the x-ray tube are graduated circles, divided in four 90 degrees quadrants, the smallest division being one degree. It is suspended on a square rod, which moves horizontally to adjust the distant to the patient. A hand remote control timer is used to fix the time of exposure. The dial is numbered from 0 to 12 seconds, divided in quarter of seconds.
