          The wooden case is painted blue.

          The clock's pendulum is wood with a brass-faced lead disk for the bob. There is a signaling magnet at the tip of the pendulum that communicates with a pendulum sensor at the bottom of the case. The magnet is horseshoe-shaped.

          Electrical wires are wrapped in fabric.

It likely was also used with the telescope when it was in operation in Cambridge, MA in 1909 before being moved to Oak Ridge Observatory in 1932.
