          Descriptionglass tubes of varying length and thickness joined in pairs by a wire. The ends of each pair face each other at slightly less than a right angle. Currently, three of the tubes have a cork stopper, and the fourth, without a stopper, also has one of the tubes broken off.

          Usually part of a set of 12 used to demonstrate different tones Stoelting sold sets of 13 tubes with a range from g 3 - g 4 giving an octave of tones and semitones; tubes were used to demonstrate difference tones, interference of sound, the difference in pitch between open and closed pipes, the effect of overblowing, beats, and for performing experiments in clang-tint. Cork stoppers turned open tubes into closed tubes.
