DescriptionWooden box in two halves, the bottom half of which is a control panel with a series of buttons and meters.

At the top of the control panel are two solenoids, one long with thin wire **, the other short with thick wire. Framing these solenoids are four rectangular bars, two on either side. Along each bar is a sliding block. The blocks on the longer solenoid are black, those on the shorter are red. On one side of each block is written "Patented Feb. 1 **fill this in**". On the other side is inscribed a series of letters **what?**.

Further down on the left side of the control panel is a curved window over a dial with two scales, both of which begin at zero in the center and increase in either direction. The top scale is numbered in increments of 50 and subdivided with tick marks in increments of 2. The bottom scale is numbered in increments of 10 and also subdivided with tick marks in increments of 2.

Further down on the right side of the panel is a series of five dials, all of which are tapered from the pivot end to the grip end. The grips are metal balls attached to the narrow end of the dials. Those ends are brought to rest on one of a series of three or five metal discs, below which is a round label with one to three letters on it. The top two dials, labeled "T" and "**" turn over five settings, labeled "BS," "GS," "MIL," "BL," and "GL." The settings of the two dials are mirror images of each other. The bottom three dials each have three settings, but they are all different. The dial on the left, labeled "S," has settings "G-500," "MIL," and "G-30." The middle dial has settings "B," "T," and "G." The dial on the right, labeled "B," has settings "T," "R," and "S." Next to these settings are two black knobs connected by a flat piece of metal.

Further down are two rows of buttons. The first row contains a series of buttons, knobs, lights, and holes. The first two are large black buttons with three short recessed parallel lines. These are labeled "BS" and "GS." The next three are of a shiny reddish maroon color and are possibly lights. These are labeled "BL," "GL," and "BL3." The next six are shiny metal knobs labeled "BL3," "G," "BAT," "T," R," and "S." The first six buttons in the next row are round, shiny, and black. They are labeled "1," "2," "3," "4," "SC," "30M." All of them appear to be pushed in except the one labeled "4." The next six are holes of various sizes in the wood and an inner hole of metal **. These are labeled "MIL," "SIG," "MIL," "SIG," "TEST," "TEST."

The two halves of the box are connected by hinges on one side. On the side of the bottom half opposite the hinged side is a leather handle. On the inside of the top half of the box is a table titled "CORDS AND ACCESSORIES FURNISHED WITH ITE-". There are two entries in the table, one at the top indicating two cords, and one at the bottom indicating one shipping case. On the outside of the box on either end of one side are square plates containing slips of paper. The one on the left says "Record of Change," and the one on the right says "Record of meter check. The date written on the former is May 15, 1933. The dates on the latter are May 10, 1933 and August 21, 1933.
