DescriptionThis is a Bausch & Lomb compound microscope with stand DDH. The entire microscope is made out of brass and is finished in black enamel. There is a u-shaped base and an arm with a handle hole. The body tube, which is unusually large in diameter, has a circular, three objective revolving nosepiece and a cloth-lined sleeve for the draw tube. There is also a mechanical stage with a hard rubber top and a substage assembly that consists of a condenser with an iris diaphragm on a sleeve, a holder for filters and stops on a swing out frame, a second iris diaphragm, and a mirror.
