DescriptionThis is a Beck student compound microscope. It has a simple design, consisting of a solid triangular base supporting an arm attached to a draw tube. There is a rectangular stage fitted with an iris diaphragm underneath and a substage mirror on a tail piece. The coarse focus is by rack and pinion. The fine adjustment is by a screw located at the top of the arm.
This instrument is accompanied by a flat case covered in red fabric.
