DescriptionThis is a balance with a body made of cast iron. It has a base and a vertical pillar that branches into two arms, one of them being the beam's pivot and the other coinciding with the free end of the beam with a scale on it to indicate when the system is balanced. The beam holds a hanging metallic tray on one end branches into three parallel bars with indentations from which weights can be hung. Component (a) is the balance, (b) is the pan, and (c) is the hanging component.
