DescriptionThis is a standard Tolles "Student's Microscope" as illustrated in the catalogues of Boston Optical Works / Charles Stodder from 1871 onwards. (See Tolles-Dalton Papers, 1045d). Coarse focus is by sliding tube. Fine focus is by a mechanism in the tube end.
