          DescriptionThis is Pillischer monocular compound microscope. The instrument is constructed entirely of brass except for a bronze bar that runs along the body tube comprising part of the coarse focus mechanism. There is a lever located near the nosepiece for the fine adjustment. The microscope has a curved arm and an inclining stand.

          The oval stage has an extension piece at the back that attaches to the lower end of the curved arm. A diaphragm wheel is mounted underneath the stage. There is also a substage mirror on a tubular arm.

          The microscope is stored in standing wooden case.
