          DescriptionMedium drum compound microscope in the French pattern of Secretan. Rack and pinion focus of the body tube. No ocular draw tube. Bull's eye lens on articulated arm attached to front of body tube. Round stage of darkened brass. A slot in the drum below the stage enables the user to rotate a wheel diaphragm. Plano-concave substage mirror. Round base filled with lead and covered with green felt. There is one eyepiece and a convertible objective.

          With fitted mahogany case with dovetails. Parts cushioned with green wool cloth. Cover to compartment has ivory or bone knob. Accessories missing.
