DescriptionElectrostatic machine. Large square wooden base with 3 brass and wooden posts with pairs of brass combs on each and brass contacts on top. 2 wooden posts with discs and 2 posts in front with brass rod with large wooden disc on one end. Two porcelain batteries (b & c), brass rod with combs at each end (d), a socket (e), and a leather cord (f).

Curatorial RemarksThe (DW) instrument card for this instrument does not exist. Instead there is a card for DW0058a,b (now b & c), which is a set of porcelain batteries. It is uncertain whether there is any relationship between this machine and the two batteries.
