          DescriptionThis is a Schrauer monocular compound microscope. The instrument is constructed of brass and has an inclining stand. There is a monocular body tube with rack and pinion for the coarse adjustment. The fine focus is by a screw on top of a square post.

          The microscope is equipped with a white metal stage with a black diaphragm ring on top. A double mirror on a swinging moveable rod sits below.

          The entire instrument is supported by a double pillar on top of a Y-shaped base.

          A mahogany case with drawers for the slides accompanies this instrument.
