          DescriptionEquinoctial dial with a continuous circular chapter ring marked 4-12, 1-8, subdivided in 1/2 hour increments. The vertical angle of the chapter ring is adjustable for northern latitudes from 12° to 90°, calibrated in 1° increments. The compass rose is divided into 8 points with the 4 quadrants marked: "O", "S", "W", and "N" with a magnetic declination line offset approximately 17° to the west of North.,square,Two liquid filled levels are mounted beneath the base. Leveling screws must be removed to fit in case . They ar marked I-IIII to match correspondingly marked threaded holes in base. Chapter ring has very low resolution relative to the potential accuracy of the instrument.
